THE STORY BEGINS
The story of the property dates back to the early 19th century
By 1863, the main building had become home to the establishment of C.A.W. Cavadino — a restaurant, confectionery business and shop known for its chocolates, bread, cigars and imported goods.
What began as a place for dining and commerce would eventually become a hotel and take on several names throughout its history.

The Hotel becomes Hotel du Lion d'Or

The property becomes Park Hotel

Honoring the past, embracing the present
In 1999, parts of the original structure had to be rebuilt as the old teak elements had deteriorated. While much of the original building could no longer be preserved, efforts were made to retain the property’s historical character and identity.
Today, Hotel Sriwijaya continues to welcome guests in a place where traces of the past remain part of the present
